Every month Jason Schneidman and a group of people come together along Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood to help others. Hair stylists join forces to give needy individuals a clean cut, shave and the ability to feel good about themselves.
The location is the Will & Ariel Durant branch of the Los Angels Public Library. Schneidman heads up the event making sure everything goes smooth. He has around 90,000 Instagram followers (under the Men's Groomer) and knows all to well about being down on your luck. Schneidman struggled with drug addition and has been sober for 16 years.
After hearing the country band Old Dominion's single "Some People Do," Schneidman knew the lyrics fit the individuals he was helping perfectly. Old Dominion was so touched by the work of Schneidman, that they decided to use Men's Groomer in their music video and documentary. The Jason Schneidman Groomer Foundation rehabs area Californian's who are battling addictions.
"Some People Do" chorus:
Some people quit drinking too much
And some people quit lying
Some people decide to grow up
But it's never good timing
Most wouldn't forgive what I put you through
But I'm here tonight, hoping some people do
