Country singer/songwriter Granger Smith moved to Nashville at 19 years old and signed with EMI Music Publishing. Smith has performed at the White House several times as well as performed for our military overseas. His EP 4X4 contained the hit single "Backroads Song" which boosted his success and radio airplay. After five years in Nashville Granger moved back to Georgetown, Texas.
In 2010, Smith married Amber Emily Bartlett and they later had a daughter and two boys. Smith and wife Amber announced on June 6, 2019, that their 3-year-old son River drowned in their home swimming pool. In the middle of this tragedy, the Smiths were able to fundraise and donates a check for $218,791to Dell Children’s Medical Center in honor of River.
I watched The Smith's YouTube channel before the accident and found their videos fun and entertaining. The channel covered the demands of Smith while on the road and the daily events at home. After River's death, the Smiths continued to post videos and give a personal insight into the loss of their child. Their strong faith, family and fans have given them the support needed.
Today, the videos continue to show the strengths of the Smith family, their daily lives and the memories of River. It is an example of two parents working hard to maintain a normal household with a husband traveling and performing.
Can't Wait To Set This Up...
